This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the DreamDry® app. It outlines your privacy rights and the legal protections in place. When you use the app, you agree to this policy.

The meanings of the following terms remain the same whether in singular or plural form.

In this Privacy Policy:

  • "Account" means a unique account made for you to access our app.
  • "Application" or "app" refers to DreamDry®, the software provided by Alturix Limited.
  • "Company" (referred to as "the Company", "we", "us", or "our") refers to Alturix Limited.
  • "Country" refers to the United Kingdom.
  • "Data Controller" as per GDPR, refers to Alturix Limited, the entity responsible for processing personal data.
  • "Device" includes computers, mobiles, or tablets that can access the app.
  • "GDPR" stands for EU General Data Protection Regulation.
  • "Personal data" refers to information about an identified or identifiable individual.
  • "App Provider" refers to third parties employed by Alturix Limited to facilitate, provide, or analyze the app. They are considered Data Processors under GDPR.
  • "Usage Data" refers to automatically collected data like page visit duration.
  • "You" means the individual or entity using the app.

2. Collecting and using your personal data 

2.1 Types of Data Collected  

Personal data

When using the DreamDry® app, we may ask for certain personally identifiable information to set up and maintain your account. This will include your email address.

Usage Data

This may include your device type, unique ID, operating system, and browser type.

We may also collect information sent by your browser when accessing the app.

2.2 Use of your personal data

We may use personal and usage data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and manage the app, including usage monitoring.
  • To manage your account and provide access to app functionalities.

For app development, only usage data is used. Email addresses are not required for analytics or any purpose other than app access and will not be shared with anyone outside of the Company and the Company’s development team.

2.3 Retention of your personal data

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. We may retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when needed for security or app functionality improvements, or if legally required to keep it for a longer period.

Your personal data is not processed or stored in a location other than your own account. However, usage data may be processed in another location that aligns with the data protection laws of your country.

We ensure that your data is treated securely and in compliance with this Privacy Policy. No transfer of your personal data will occur unless adequate controls are in place to safeguard your data and other personal information.

2.5 Deleting your personal data

You have the right to request the deletion of any personal data that we have collected about you. Within the app, you can update, amend, or delete your information at any time by signing into your account, and visiting the account settings section.

Please note, however, that we may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so. Additionally, the deletion of your account is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, we will not be able to retrieve any data from your system, and no other copy will exist.

2.6 Disclosure of your personal data

Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your personal data may be transferred. You will be notified before this happens and it will be subject to a new Privacy Policy.

Law enforcement

3. Detailed Information on the Processing of your personal data

We utilise third-party vendors, including Firebase, to manage and secure the DreamDry® app. These vendors collect, store, use, process, and transfer information about your activity on our app in accordance with their privacy policies. These measures are in place to ensure the proper functioning and security of the app.

3.1 Analytics

We may use third-party providers like Google Analytics and Firebase for app usage analysis.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that reports app traffic. Google uses the data collected by Firebase to monitor the app usage data. This data may be shared with other Google services.

Although not enabled in DreamDry®, you may opt-out of certain Google Analytics features through your mobile device settings, such as your device advertising settings or by following the instructions provided by Google in their Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Firebase

Firebase is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. It ensures secure sign-in data within the app, adding an extra layer of protection to your information.

4. GDPR Privacy

4.1 Legal basis for processing personal data under GDPR

We may process personal data based on:

  • Consent: you have given your consent for processing personal data for one or more specific purposes.
  • Performance of a contract: Provision of personal data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with you and/or for any pre-contractual obligations thereof.
  • Legal obligations: Processing personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Company is subject.
  • Vital interests: Processing personal data is necessary to protect your vital interests, or of another natural person.
  • Public interests: Processing personal data is related to a task that is carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Company.
  • Legitimate interests: Processing personal data is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Company.

We're here to assist in explaining why and how we process your data. This includes whether it's required by law, part of a contract, or needed for an agreement with you.

The Company undertakes to respect the confidentiality of your personal data and to guarantee you can exercise your rights.

  • Request access to your personal data. The right to access, update or delete the information we have on you. Whenever made possible, you can access, update or request deletion of your personal data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you. This also enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. You have the right to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.
  • Object to processing of your personal data. This right exists where we are relying on a legitimate interest as the legal basis for our processing and there is something about your situation, which makes you want to object to our processing of your personal data on this ground.
  • Request the transfer of your personal data. We will provide to you, or to a third-party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Please note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
  • Withdraw your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to use your personal data. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with access to the app.

4.3 Exercising of your GDPR Data Protection Rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition by contacting us. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. If you make a request, we will try our best to respond to you as soon as possible.

You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your personal data. For more information, if you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), please contact your local data protection authority in the EEA.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app collects data (name and age) of children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

If we need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your information and your country requires consent from a parent, we may require your parent’s consent before we collect and use that information.

6. Links to Other websites

Our app may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know with a prominent notice on our app, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
